ParcelBright is a service which allows you to easily work with different shipping carriers including DHL, DPD, FedEx and many others.
Gateway3D's Order Manager is capable of communicating with ParcelBright using your account details so that you can create and book shipments without leaving the Order Manager interface.
If you don't already have a Parcelbright account then please sign up at https://www.parcelbright.com/.
Once sign up is complete, please request an API key from http://developer.parcelbright.com/.
Once Parcelbright has provided you with your API key, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can add your API key to your account details.
Step 3 - Creating a Shipment
A new shipment for an order can be created from the "Shipping" tab of the Order Manager's "Details" page. Simply click on the "Book Shipment" button.
You will then be prompted to enter the dimensions and weight of your parcel. This is required so that carrier rates can be calculated. Please read ParcelBright's knowledge base article on how weigh and measure your parcel.
Once your parcel's weight and measurements have been entered please click "Create Shipment". This will then present you with a list of carriers and methods to choose from.
Select a rate that you're happy with and then click "Book Shipment".
After booking your shipment, ParcelBright will arrange for the carrier to pick up your parcel on the date listed in the list of rates in step 3.
The order in Order Manager will also now show a status of "Pending Dispatch". The status will changed to "Dispatched" as soon as ParcelBright confirms that the carrier has collected your parcel.
Order Manager will then continue to update the order's history with any relevant tracking information up until the package has been delivered.
