Adding the Live Chat software a great way of communicating with the visitors to your site. If they feel that they need to chat with someone they have the option to do so and if you feel that they need assistance in any way, you are able to offer assistance.
Once your live chat account has been set up by the Custom Gateway team, you just need to add a small script to your site to enable it. To add the Live Chat script to your site, please do the following.
Login to Live Chat and click on the Settings icon.
Click the Installation tab on the left hand side.
In the main section, copy the script by clicking on it to select all and right clicking and selecting copy (or CTRL+C).
You now need to place this before the closing body tag </body> of the HTML pages on your site. In Magento this can be done quite easily by logging into the back end of the site and selecting System>Configuration.
Once in the Configuration section of your Magento site, select the correct configuration scope using the Configuration Scope drop down and select Design from the options on the left.
In the main section under the heading Footer, paste the Live Chat script into the Miscellaneous HTML field and click the Save button.
That's it! You're Live Chat code is installed on your Website and any chatting visitors can be reached out to via your Live Chat console.
